Why you can trust us

More info

TheToyZone is an independent publication with no ties with companies mentioned on the site. We don’t accept free products in exchange for glowing reviews. Instead, we report our own findings to help you make an informed decision.

I doubt that I need to explain what Star Wars is, how it took the world by storm back in 1977 or about the vast range of merchandise that followed.

We’ve covered a portion of them here in our guides;

With the Disney takeover, we have been gifted with a franchise make-over with loads of new content featuring brand new characters to fall in love with all over again. Easily the most popular new series is The Mandalorian.

This formidable bounty hunter must navigate the galaxy, earning credits for the bounties he collects until one target changes everything. He meets an adorable creature named Grogu, who may look helpless but is savvy in the ways of the force.

These two very different characters form a tight bond that sees them travel together, coming across friends, foes, star ships and scoundrels (if you haven’t noticed, I’m a big fan of this series).

So in true Star Wars/Disney style, a HUGE range of merchandise came with it. Action figures, plush dolls, LEGO, board games, gadgets, clothes and activity sets. That’s why we had to make a HUGE guide to show you the best Mandalorian toys out there.

As with all our buying guides, we know no two kids are alike. They may share a love for The Mandalorian, but they want different things from their toys. That’s why I’ve searched the internet for various toys for various wants and needs.

And not only for the recipient. Your wants and needs are also different. Whether buying Mandalorian merchandise as a gift or for yourself and the budget, you must spend.

So, read on to find the perfect gift for the Mandalorian and/or Star Wars fanatic in your life (even if that’s you).

THIS IS THE WAY.

Best Mandalorian Action Figures

1. Best for Younger Kids: Mr Potato Head The Yamdalorian and The Tot

Coming out the gates strong with my pick as the best toy for younger kids, The Yamdalorian and The Tot…get it? This hilarious version of the infamous Mr. Potato Head sees him as the bounty hunter to save the galaxy from injustice, with his partner Grogu as a tater tot.

1 Mr Potato Head The Yamdalorian and The Tot
Recommended age: 24 months and above

Mando isn’t allowed to remove his helmet, but when has Mr. Potato Head followed the rules? He removes his helmet to reveal his classic face with that big nose, mustache and huge ears.

Am I just a nerd, or is this the coolest crossover going?

What We Love:

❤️ You can add his eyes onto the front of the helmet
❤️ There are 14 pieces to mix and mash…I mean “match”
❤️ He’s got a pouch to carry the Tot around with him

What We Don’t Love:

💔 The Tot is static

💡 If this has tickled your funny bone like mine, you must check out Mr. Potato Head Chew-Bake-A. 🤣🤣🤣

2. Star Wars The Mandalorian The Black Series

If you’re looking for a toy that’s a little more “grown-up,” I got you covered. This hyper-realistic Mandalorian action figure shows every detail of his beskar armor, helmet and weaponry. You can pose Mando in battle positions with his opposable limbs as he fights the galaxy’s enemies.

2 Star Wars The Mandalorian The Black Series
Recommended age: 4 years and above

With three accessories included with the figure, you can take Mando on adventures through space or display him for all your nerdy friends to see.

What We Love:

❤️ The amount of detail is awe-inspiring
❤️ It comes with two of Mandos’ signature weapons
❤️ You could keep it in the box as a collectible…if you can

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It’s a little fiddly swapping his weapons

💡 If you need more allies, check out The Black Series Credit Collection version.

3. Star Wars The Mandalorian & Grogu Galactic Action

You may recognize this guy from the Yamdalorian toy above, but this time with all the details of the actual Mandalorian and Grogu by his side. Straight out of the first series, Mando shows he means business with his attachable jetpack, blaster (with holster) and his new best friend in his satchel

3 Star Wars The Mandalorian Grogu Galactic Action
Recommended age: 4 years and above

This action figure is lovely to look at; it also plays sound FX from the show. Activate 15 different sounds and phrases as you battle the bad guys in galactic action.

What We Love:

❤️ You can take Grogu out of the bag
❤️ Activate the sounds by pressing Mandos’ chest
❤️ The jetpack can be taken on/off

What We Don’t Love:

💔 His arms don’t move

Grogu Plush Toys

4. Grogu Soft Doll

Look up cute in the dictionary and you’ll find a picture of this little guy. Since Grogu appeared on our screens as Mando’s bounty, we’ve been fascinated with the baby Yoda look-a-like, and now you can take them home with this adorable plush.

4 Grogu Soft Doll
Recommended age: 3 years and above

The super lifelike doll will have kids wanting to take care of Grogu and take them along wherever they go. It has a squishy, bean-filled body to cuddle, a vinyl head, big eyes and tiny hands.

What We Love:

❤️ Weights 1.21 lbs for a more realistic feeling
❤️ The box looks like Grogus’ floating stroller
❤️ The face is very detailed

What We Don’t Love:

💔 Would be cool if it made sounds

5. Star Wars The Child Animatronic Edition

Grogu, aka The Child, gets an animatronic makeover bringing them to life with this interactive plush. With over 25 sound and motion combinations, Grogu plays with your galactic imaginations as they move their head, ears and eyes and raise their hands to use the force and save the day, just like in the Mandalorian series.

5 Star Wars The Child Animatronic Edition
Recommended age: 4 years and above

But conjuring all that force energy takes it out of the little guy, so let them nap afterward.

What We Love:

❤️ Includes the Mythosaur signet pendant
❤️ It’s adorable
❤️ You can turn it on and off

What We Don’t Love:

💔 Be cooler if it was bigger

💡 You can never have too many Grogu dolls. Add this hungry, noisy Jedi to your collection as it plays ten sound FXs from the show and includes Grogus jumping supper.

6. Funko Pop! Deluxe: Mandalorian – The Child

If you’ve never heard of Funko Pop, you must check them out. They make stylized display pieces of everyone in popular culture, and Star Wars is no exception. Choosing one from their vast collection was hard, but I went for Grogu and sat on a rock, channeling the force as it shows that there’s more to Grogu than baby noises and big cute eyes.

6 Funko Pop Deluxe Mandalorian The Child
Recommended age: 3 years and above

This special edition figure also features lights and sounds from the show, which is an extra twist on the usual Funko Pop figures.

What We Love:

❤️ The light is an excellent addition
❤️ It’s really detailed
❤️ Ideal to display proudly

What We Don’t Love:

💔 Wish the sound was a Grogu noise

💡 There are so many Grogu Pops to choose from. Start your collection with Grogu with Frog, Grogu with Cookies, Super-Sized Grogu, Force Grogu…the list goes on.

Best Mandalorian LEGO

7. LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars The Mandalorian & The Child 75317

I had to include this LEGO set as it sits on my desk as I type this list. The Brick Heads range is a stylized version of LEGO made for display purposes. Here we have The Mandalorian’s signature blasters and Grogu (The Child) in its hover pram.

7 LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars The Mandalorian The Child 75317
Recommended age: 10 years and above

The two main characters are fun to build and, at points, more complicated to put together than you think, so it’s also a challenge.

What We Love:

❤️ You can take Grogu out of the hover pram
❤️ Both figures can be removed from their display platforms
❤️ You can swap Mando’s weapons to suit the situation

What We Don’t Love:

💔 There are no moving parts

💡 If you want a little more “action” out of your LEGO, check out this LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack 75267.

8. LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian The Child 75318

LEGO has come a long way, and this Grogu figure proves it. With over 1000 pieces (most of them the same color), this set is no easy feat but worth it. Test your construction and problem-solving skills as you build this adorable display figure with many excellent details to enjoy.

8 LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian The Child 75318

Grogu is even holding the gearshift knob he loves so dearly in the series.

What We Love:

❤️ Comes with an info panel to show off your knowledge
❤️ Includes a Grogu mini-figure
❤️ Its hands, ears and head move

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It’s more of a display piece, not to be played with

💡 If you’re into LEGO Star Wars display pieces, check out the LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Helmet 75304

9. LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter 75325

Some of the most exciting moments in The Mandalorian series are the space battles he has in the N-1 Starfighter. Now you can recreate those scenes and make up your own with this excellent LEGO set that includes Mando, Grogu, Peli Motto and a BD Droid on hand for repairs. With 412 pieces to put together, you’re also treated to a spring-loaded shooter and a separate cockpit for Grogu.

What We Don’t Love:

💔 The laser beams can be easily lost

10. LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian Helmet 75328

If you’re looking for a LEGO set that’s a little more “advanced,” look no further than this display piece of the Mandalorian’s helmet for you to build and admire. This highly detailed set is part of a collection of helmets showing LEGO’s intricacy.

10 LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian Helmet 75328
Recommended age: 18 years and above

Not only is this 584-piece set fun to build, but it is excellent to admire on the mantle.

What We Love:

❤️ The bricks are coated to look metallic, like Beskar
❤️ It comes on a stand

What We Don’t Love:

💔 I wish it were harder to build

💡 Check out the rest of the range and collect them all, including:

11. LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest 75292

If you’re a fan of the Mandalorian series, you’ll surely recognize his infamous ship, The Razor Crest. Build and pilot the ship that has taken Mando through thick and thin as he and his best friend, Grogu, navigate the galaxy.

11 LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest 75292
Recommended age: 10 years and above

With over a thousand pieces to put together, also included are four mini-figures, The Mandalorian, Greef Karga, Scout Trooper and Grogu, plus an IG-11 droid to take care of babysitting duties.

What We Love:

❤️ The body opens up to reveal the interior of the ship

What We Don’t Love:

💔 The escape pod is easily lost

Best Mandalorian Gifts for Gamers

With so many excellent Star Wars titles out for Xbox, like Jedi: Survivor, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Squadrons and Jedi: Fallen Order, what better way to beat the Empire than with a Mandalorian wireless controller. 13. Logitech Astro A30 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset – The Mandalorian Edition

It can get quite loud when you’re hurtling around the galaxy, blasting lasers and battling bad guys. The last thing you want to do is annoy the rest of the family, so I’ve included these excellent Mandalorian-styled wireless gaming headphones.

13 Logitech Astro A30 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset The Mandalorian Edition

❤️ You can customize the EQ

What We Don’t Love:

💔 I wish the mic was a little less plastic

14. The Mandalorian Cable Guy Controller Holder

After a hard day saving the galaxy, all you want to do is sit back, hang up your blaster and relax. Or, in our case, hang up your controller, and there’s no better way to do that as a Mandalorian fan than to use this highly-detailed Mando controller holder.

15. NERF Star Wars Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster

Best Mandalorian Gadgets

17. Star Wars Grogu – Tamagotchi Using The Force & Silicone Case Set

If you don’t remember the 90s, you may not recognize this iconic toy. Tamagotchi took the world by storm as a kid, and I’m VERY happy it’s making a comeback. With this Mandalorian version, you must look after Grogu and keep him alive by feeding, playing with and giving him the attention he needs. Best Mandalorian Board/Card Games

19. Best Budget Option: UNO Star Wars The Mandalorian

You have to admit; the classics are the best. That’s why I’ve chosen one of my favorites from childhood, but of course, The Mandalorian version. There’s a reason UNO has lasted so long; it’s super fun, a little challenging and brings family and friends together with healthy competition.

20. Hasbro Gaming Operation Game: Star Wars The Mandalorian Edition

Another classic board game that’s been given a Mandalorian overhaul is Operation. Only this time, it’s not bones and organs you need to remove from a red-nosed dude; it’s objects that you need to stop Grogu from playing with, as he’ll probably try and put them in his mouth. You win by removing pieces out of Grogu’s reach without setting off the buzzer using tweezers.

20 Hasbro Gaming Operation Game Star Wars The Mandalorian Edition
Recommended age: 6 years and above

What We Love:

❤️ The objects are related to the show, like a frog, cup of broth and the razor crest shift knob

21. Monopoly: Star Wars The Mandalorian Edition

The king of all board games has been given The Mandalorian makeover making it probably the best version of Monopoly out there. 21 Monopoly Star Wars The Mandalorian Edition
Recommended age: 8 years and above

On your travels, you can buy hideouts, collect rent from your allies and defeat the evil Moff Gideon.

What We Love:

❤️ It’s the same concept with a twist
❤️ Each character has a unique ability, so choose wisely
❤️ The graphics on the board look great

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It can take a while to learn the new rules

💡 If you prefer the original game but still want the Mandalorian theme, check out this Monopoly: Star Wars The Child Edition

22. Buffalo Games Star Wars The Mandalorian – Snack Time Game

Best Mandalorian Gifts Kids Can Carry Around

23. Pop It! Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Grogu

What We Love:

❤️ Soft and squishy
❤️ Very detailed
❤️ Magnetizes through clothes

What We Don’t Love:

💔 Can pull on your clothes if not balanced properly

25. LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian Keychain Light

There’s nothing worse than being trapped in a dark cave on the outer rim with no light to see any potential Mythosaurs that want to chow down on your new armor. So to stop that highly likely scenario from happening, I’ve included this cool keychain light in the shape of our hero. Simply press on Mando’s belly to activate the two LED lights in his boots to see the way.

That’s not the way…THIS IS THE WAY.

25 LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian Keychain Light
Recommended age: 6 years and above

What We Love:

What We Don’t Love:

💔 Could be a little brighter

💡 If you prefer the style of Funko Pop! over LEGO, check out this The Mandalorian Funko POP Pop! Keychain

Let me ask you a question. When you collect your “asset,” where will you safely store all those Imperial credits? Where else than in your Grogu mini wristlet, of course. This delightful yet practical wristlet has multiple compartments and even has a spot for your cell phone. But the most critical cargo you’ll carry is the little Grogu, who sits patiently in the front pocket.

Frequently Asked Questions About Mandalorian Toys

🤔 Why is The Mandalorian so popular?

Since its first release in 1977, Star Wars has been a massive hit with kids and adults alike. The mixture of adventure, peril, space travel and loveable characters (even the evil ones) ensured a franchise that has continued for over 40 years.

The Mandalorian gives us all the magic that made the original movies popular but with all new characters and adventures. When you watch the show, you instantly connect with Mando; he’s mysterious and intriguing. As his character develops, you become all the more invested in his voyage.

They make us wait a while, but finally, we meet “the asset,” Grogu, affectionately known as Baby Yoda. Apart from being effortlessly adorable, we watch as Grogu grows and develops as he interacts with new worlds around him and with his friend/protector/father figure, Mando/Din Djarin (The Mandalorian).

If you haven’t already, I urge you to watch one episode. You will only realize why the world has gone mad over The Mandalorian.

🤔 Why is imaginative play so important to a child’s development?

One of the best parts about being a kid is the ability to open up your imagination and transport yourself and your friends to a whole new world, whether in a different country, under the ocean or catapulted into space in a starship to save the galaxy.

Using your imagination is fun and integral to a child’s development. Studies have shown that imaginative play can provide many benefits to help a child grow, learn and develop.

Benefits include:

  • Fosters creativity
  • Teaches critical thinking
  • Helps build expressive and receptive language
  • Increases social skills
  • Promotes physical development

All of these skills are crucial in helping children form relationships with others, learn empathy and develop problem-solving skills that all contribute to positive behavior.

But best of all…it’s so much fun.

So… What Mandalorian Toy Should I Get?

When buying gifts for others, it’s always best to do a little digging and ask yourself some simple questions; What kinds of toys do they interact with the most? What are their developmental needs? What are they interested in?

Once you’ve got a little background, it will be so much easier to pick a toy they will love and treasure.

If they enjoy card and board games, then UNO Star Wars The Mandalorian or Monopoly: Star Wars The Mandalorian Edition could make them very happy. If they like action figures, check out the hilarious Mr. Potato Head The Yamdalorian and The Tot, for the young ones or the highly-detailed The Mandalorian The Black Series for older kids.

For LEGO fans, you have plenty to choose from, depending on their brick skills. For something on the “less complicated” side, try LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars The Mandalorian & The Child 75317 and for the master builders out there, the LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian Helmet 75328 is a great challenge.
