Best Ninjago Mechs
1. LEGO Ninjago Ninja Ultra Combo Mech 71765
Most kids would be happy enough with a mech toy to play with, but this set comes with three vehicles plus a mech that can be played with separately or combined into an ultra mech. There’s a toy car, tank, jet and the mech, all together to form the ultimate fighting machine to defeat the evil snake due.
Recommended age: 9 years and above |
As if that wasn’t enough, this set also includes a mini mech for the snake duo, plus seven minifigures to fight it out. As well as some of our favorite Ninjas, there’s also an exclusive Wu Bot figure.
What We Love:
❤️ Features 4 different vehicles that combine into a mech action figure
❤️ Impressive looking set with fantastic playability plus seven mini-figures
❤️ A good level of challenge – the build takes time but isn’t too frustrating
What We Don’t Love:
💔 As it is made of separate builds the mech isn’t as sturdy as some others
💔 When everything is combined the mech becomes slightly top heavy
2. LEGO Ninjago Lloyd’s Mech Battle EVO 71781
For a more affordable option that still provides enough fun to make any Ninjago fan jump for joy, this mech battle set is fantastic. With only 223 pieces, kids can make not one but two awesome mechs to battle it out for Lloyd and the Bone Warrior. Both mechs have their own weapons and cockpits for their minifigures, who also have weapons.
Recommended age: 6 years and above |
Despite being fairly simple builds, these mechs look great on display, especially with the golden wings on Lloyd, jet and the mech-style paddy hat on the Bone Warrior’s. And, of course, they’re also perfect for staging epic battles.

💔 A bit too large and clunky for kids under 10 to play with
4. LEGO Ninjago Jay’s Titan Mech 71785
Jay’s Titan Mech is undoubtedly one of the coolest-looking mechs in the Ninjago universe, and this is a great set in terms of interactive play features too. But even so, the Bone enemies won’t be easy to defeat, thanks to their fast-firing crossbow mounted on a wagon.

Frequently Asked Questions About LEGO Ninjago
🙋 What is Ninjago, and who is it for?
LEGO Ninjago is a TV show, but it’s a pretty genius one in that it encourages kids to look away from the screens and towards their LEGO blocks so they can recreate the show’s action-packed adventures. Ninjago is based around a group of six teenage ninja warriors who are learning to become masters of spinjitzu from their mentor, Master Wu. But instead of being able to complete their training in peace, they must defend their home from a cast of fearsome and dangerous enemies, including the Ninjago Overlord.
And all the while, they must also overcome the same issues all kids face, namely getting on with their friends, learning who they are and how to work together and moving past silly mistakes.
LEGO Ninjago is aimed at children, mostly between 6-10. At the same time, the show is full of clever but silly humor that even parents can enjoy. So far, there have been 15 seasons, providing a wealth of different enemies, creatures, vehicles and locations to recreate in LEGO.
From dragons to mech action figures to racing cars, submarines, temples and more, there are many LEGO Ninjago sets for kids to build and play with.
🙋 Is LEGO a good gift for kids?
LEGO is a fantastic gift for kids for loads of reasons. Sure, they may occasionally cause pain when they get under your feet. Still, at the same time, they are virtually indestructible, provide kids with enjoyment for years and don’t require any batteries.
They’re also super beneficial for kids’ cognitive development, helping them with basic math skills, problem-solving, spatial reasoning, planning and more. At the same time, they allow kids to explore their creativity, and they are a fantastic way to bond with friends and family and practice teamwork. And, of course, they provide hours upon hours of screen-free fun.
So… What LEGO Ninjago Set Should You Get?
That all depends on what your little ninja loves best about Ninjago and the type of LEGO set they’re ready for. Are the dragons their favorite part of the show? Then get them one of the dragon sets. Are they more into the mechs? Go for one of them instead. The playsets and temples are great if you’re looking to go all out, while several of the vehicles are ideal if you want something simpler.
We tried our best to give you a wide variety of LEGO Ninjago options, but we may have left out some great sets — we’re human, after all. So if you think we missed something, be sure to let us know.
