Ever since the silvery Princess Elsa hit the silver screen in 2013, the influence of Frozen has been undeniable.

To mention music alone, after the first movie’s release, Let It Go quickly reached the top five in the Billboard Hot 100 chart, sold 10.9 million copies in a year and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Not bad for a song in a kid’s movie!  That just shows the universal appeal of this film, which has captivated preschoolers and older kids alike and shows no sign of waning in popularity a decade on.

Whether the Frozen fanatic you’re shopping for is four or fourteen, you’ll find this list full with awesome options to make their eyes sparkle like the Arenfjord in winter. I made sure to pick only the best Frozen toys out there, so you can find a gift as enchanting as the movie itself.

Whether they are into puzzles, playsets or plushies, there’s a gift on this list that’s worthy of your little snow prince (or princess). So wrap up warm and strap yourself into your sleigh, because we’re headed for Arendelle!

Frozen Dolls and Plushies

1. Disney’s Frozen 2 Anna and Elsa Royal Fashion

What better way to inspire your kid’s own imaginative Frozen world than with some fashion dolls? This set includes dolls of Elsa and Anna, both of whom have not one but two exquisite outfit options, down to the shoes and jewelry! Barbie lovers especially will adore changing the dolls into their outfits for different occasions.

1 Disney s Frozen 2 Anna and Elsa Royal Fashion
Recommended age: 3 years and up

Lots of customers noted how lovely and soft these dolls’ hair is, and thanks to their rooted hair articulation, it will withstand rough play. The dolls also boast five points of articulation, so they can get into all sorts of action on top of looking pretty!

What We Love:

❤️ The dolls are beautiful and very durable
❤️ They each come with an extra dress, shoes and accessories to change into
❤️ Their hair is lovely and soft

What We Don’t Love:

💔 The clothes tear fairly easily
💔 Anna’s hair is not long enough to braid

💡 TIP: Already have an Elsa doll? You can get Anna and Kristof here to round out your collection.

2. Disney Store Official Olaf Soft Toy

When you don’t have the snow to build a snowman, you can still cuddle one with this Olaf soft toy – without getting cold and wet! This official merchandise comes straight from the Disney store, so you know it will meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. With meticulous embroidery features, sparkle and snowflake details and felt twigs, this Olaf looks like he stepped straight out of your screen!

2 Disney Store Official Olaf Soft Toy
Recommended age: All ages

This Olaf is the perfect size for cuddling, playing and displaying. He’s stuffed firmly enough so that he can sit by himself, but not so much that he isn’t wonderfully soft and snugglable!

What We Love:

❤️ He’s soft and huggable but firm enough to sit up on his own
❤️ He looks just like he does in the movies
❤️ It’s well crafted from quality materials so it should last a long time

What We Don’t Love:

💔 A few customers received a plush that was slightly smaller than the advertised size
💔 The button bobbles on his front may not stand up to a lot of rough play

💡 TIP:  This alternative plush isn’t exactly movie accurate, but he is the sweetest looking version of Olaf you ever did see.

3. Disney Frozen Deluxe Doll Gift Set

If your Frozen fanatic is only 3 or 4, a standard fashion doll can be a bit finicky for their little hands to undress and dress. But these deluxe dolls of Elsa, Anna, Kristof, Olaf and Sven are the perfect size and design for little hands to manipulate, and they are super adorable too. In their signature outfits, they are instantly recognizable!

3 Disney Frozen Deluxe Doll Gift Set
Recommended age: 3 years and up

The humans all feature articulated limbs and removable clothing for added play value and the princesses also have rooted hair so you can try out different hairstyles. Taken together, these five dolls make for limitless possibilities for creative play!

What We Love:

❤️ These are super adorable and a great size for travel
❤️ The dolls are all very durable and feature articulated arms and legs
❤️ Their clothes are beautiful and very well made

What We Don’t Love:

💔 The dolls’ legs fall off quite easily, though they can be reattached
💔 Some customers noted that their hair become frizzy after a while

4. Disney Frozen Disney Princess Dolls – Elsa

This Elsa doll is absolutely beautiful and authentic to the movies, so she makes a great option for an affordable Frozen gift. Dressed in her signature blue snow princess outfit, she is meticulously detailed and her skirt and shoes are removable. Her hair is styled in her classic side braid, but you can undo it and try new hairstyles if you like.

4 Disney Frozen Disney Princess Dolls Elsa
Recommended age: 3 years and up

This Elsa doll is the perfect addition to any Frozen fan’s Barbie and fashion doll collection. She’ll inspire countless roleplay adventures, whether they are reenactments from the movie or out of kids’ own imaginations!

What We Love:

❤️ It’s beautifully detailed and even the clothing is high quality
❤️ All the elements are movie-accurate and look just like they do in the pictures
❤️ It holds up well to rough play

What We Don’t Love:

💔 Her arms and legs are not articulated or bendable
💔 The top half of her outfit is molded on and not removable

💡 TIP:  If your kiddo has just watched Frozen 2, perhaps they’d prefer to see Elsa in her travel outfit from that movie.

5. Disney Frozen Disney Princess Dolls – Anna

If your kid is more into Anna than Elsa or you want both dolls so they can interact with one another, this is the Anna to get. Just like the Elsa doll above, this is an impressively detailed, accurate and durable doll, especially for such a low price. She is wearing her signature blue and purple travel outfit and her gorgeous hair is styled in two braids.

5 Disney Frozen Disney Princess Dolls Anna
Recommended age: 3 years and up

Although her top is not removable, the quality of Anna’s skirt, cape and boots is really exquisite. She’s the perfect companion to any similarly sized Elsa doll, or a great princess doll in her own right!

What We Love:

❤️ Looks exactly like Anna does in the movie
❤️ The quality and durability is a cut above most dolls of this kind
❤️ All the details are accurate and made of quality materials

What We Don’t Love:

💔 Anna’s top is molded onto the doll instead of made of fabric
💔 You can’t bend her legs or arms

💡 TIP:  If you want to be able to remove all her clothes, check out this alternative Anna, who also has a slightly more mischievous expression on her face!

6. Disney Frozen Talking Sven Plushie

When it comes to Elsa and Anna’s sidekicks, Olaf often steals the show, but Kristoff’s loyal reindeer sidekick, Sven, deserves a mention too. While it’s not designed to look like the movie Sven, this reindeer plushie definitely embodies his lovable and kindhearted spirit. In fact, with his big sparkling eyes and smiling mouth, this Sven is undeniably adorable and so cuddly too.

6 Disney Frozen Talking Sven Plushie
Recommended age: 3 years and up

As well as having luxuriously soft and fluffy fur and being the perfect bedtime snuggle companion, this Sven plush is a chatty companion too! Press his chest and you’ll hear him make lifelike reindeer noises.

What We Love:

❤️ The talking function is really fun and holds up well
❤️ Sven is very well made with an adorable embroidered face
❤️ He is wonderfully soft and fluffy

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It’s a little smaller in reality than its advertised size
💔 The talking volume is not totally consistent – it was very quiet for some customers

7. Disney Store Official Animators’ Collection – Anna Doll

Although most of Frozen takes place with Elsa and Anna in young adulthood, we do catch glimpses of them as children experiencing their early life in Arendelle. However, this Animators’ Collection Anna doll goes back even further to show a very young Anna inspired by Frozen character designer Bill Schwab’s sketches. The result is perfectly evocative and too darling for words!

7 Disney Store Official Animators Collection Anna Doll
Recommended age: 3 years and up

The impeccable details and quality of this doll is at a collector’s level, though she’s still sturdy enough for kiddie play. With her red cheeks and button nose, she is just adorable, and she even carries a tiny Olaf soft toy!

What We Love:

❤️ This is a beautiful doll and high quality enough for collectors
❤️ The details are impeccable down to the lace on the dress and the tiny shoes
❤️ It’s a nice big size and very durable

What We Don’t Love:

💔 Her hair is not even if you take it out of the pigtails
💔 The hair quality doesn’t really match the rest of the doll

💡 TIP: Pair little Anna up with her sister by getting the matching Animator’s Collection Elsa Doll as well.

8. Disney Frozen Musical Adventure Elsa Singing Doll

This isn’t the first Elsa doll on this list, but I had to include it because it sings! Simply press the button on her bodice and she’ll sing a beautiful rendition of “Show Yourself” from Frozen II. Plus, unlike most of the dolls on the market which portray her in her outfit from the first movie, this one’s elegant and sparkly dress is inspired by the latest flick.

8 Disney Frozen Musical Adventure Elsa Singing Doll
Recommended age: 3 years and up

This singing Elsa comes with batteries included so kids can start playing right away. She’s also a great doll to play with even when she isn’t singing, thanks to her bendable knees and lovely silky hair!

What We Love:

❤️ She sings a portion of “Show Yourself” and the sound is nice and clear
❤️ Her dress is beautifully done and her hair is soft and silky
❤️ It’s a high quality doll with bendable knees

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It’s a bit disappointing that she doesn’t sing the whole song
💔 Some customers found the button placement a little inappropriate

9. Disney Frozen Story Time Olaf

Olaf is renowned for his storytelling, and this toy lives up to that with an awesome interactive function. Kids can ask him to tell them a story, sing them a song or relate a fact and he will do so! What’s more, his eyes and mouth move in a lifelike way when he does. Little Olaf fans will wile away many happy hours chatting to this friendly snowman.

9 Disney Frozen Story Time Olaf
Recommended age: 3 years and up

This Olaf toy is made from super soft fabric and features beautiful and movie-accurate embroidery detailing. Plus, he comes with batteries included so story or sing-along time can start right away!

What We Love:

❤️ He can tell a story, tell a fact or sing a song as requested
❤️ The interactive function works well and the sound quality is super clear
❤️ He is adorable, especially with the moving eyes and mouth

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It would be nice if it had more than one song, one story and a few facts in its repertoire
💔 You sometimes have to try a few times to get him to respond correctly

10. Disney Elsa The Snow Queen Plush Doll

Snuggle up to the Snow Queen herself with this luxuriously soft Elsa plush doll. Featuring a velour dress, organza sleeve accents and glitter accents, this plush embodies the essence of a true snow queen. Her facial features are embroidered and her hair is plush, so there are no choking hazards and she makes a great companion at playtime and at bedtime too!

10 Disney Elsa The Snow Queen Plush Doll
Recommended age: 3 years and up

This Elsa plush comes from the Disney store, so its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail is guaranteed. There are also many accounts of kids bringing her everywhere they go and her stitching and everything holding up flawlessly!

What We Love:

❤️ It’s very durable – there are multiple accounts of kids taking it everywhere and it holds up well
❤️ It’s large and cuddly enough to take to bed
❤️ Everything is sewn well and symmetrically, from her face to her pretty dress and hair

What We Don’t Love:

💔 A few customers received a different Elsa doll than the one in the pictures
💔 Her clothes are not removable

💡 TIP: More of an Anna fan? Then cuddle up with her in this super soft cuddle buddy pillow form.

11. Disney Frozen Fisher-Price Little People Toddler Playset

Fisher-Price is one of the most highly regarded toy companies out there, and this Frozen Toddler Playset really lives up to the hype. 💡 TIP: Fully populate your Frozen castle with these cute figures of Elsa, Ana, Kristof and Olaf.

12. Disney Frozen Fold and Go Arendelle Castle Playset

Usually, you have to decide between size and portability, but this 78 x 76 cm playset folds up into a compact and portable carry case! When unfolded, it’s a detailed replica of Arendelle Castle, complete with cute furniture and household accessories. On the second level, a cozy library with a balcony completes the set.

12 Disney Frozen Fold and Go Arendelle Castle Playset

This is a great affordable option for a playset that kids can take with them and get absorbed in the magic wherever they go. They can play out scenes from the film or make up their own ones set in this evocative castle.

What We Love:

❤️ Comes with several cute accessories
❤️ It folds up and features a convenient carry handle

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It’s a little on the flimsy side
💔 The attached parts come off quite easily

13. Disney Frozen Elsa Stackable Castle Doll House

Another great portable option is this stackable ice castle from Mattel. This one isn’t quite as big, but its icy design is beautiful and eye-catching and it features multiple play areas despite its small size. What’s more, this one comes with figures as well as furniture accessories, including Elsa, Olaf and two cute snowgies!

13 Disney Frozen Elsa Stackable Castle Doll House
Recommended age: 3 years and up

Some fun elements of this playset include a slide and a sled to ride down it, an ice-inspired staircase and a hidden room for Olaf’s treasures. It also folds up and features a handle for easy portability, or you can opt to expand it with other stackable sets.

What We Love:

❤️ It folds up compactly for portable play
❤️ The palace is beautiful and connects to other Storytime Stacker sets
❤️ The Elsa and Olaf figures look great – Elsa can even stand on her own when she’s wearing her cape

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It would be nice if it came with more figures
💔 The castle is quite small so won’t necessarily hold kids’ attention for a long time

14. Disney Frozen Ultimate Arendelle Castle Playset

If you want to go all out for someone special, this is the way to do it. With 14 furnished rooms, three stories and a height of no less than 5 feet, this castle is utterly magnificent. The size and exquisite detail is enough to wow any little Frozen fan, but there’s even more to discover – magical twinkling lights and a moving balcony are the icing on the cake!

14 Disney Frozen Ultimate Arendelle Castle Playset

❤️ With its size, detail and stunning lights, this will wow any little Frozen fan
❤️ With 14 furnished rooms and interactive features, your kid will be playing with this for years
❤️ It’s very sturdy once put together

What We Don’t Love:

💔 Assembly is pretty time consuming
💔 It seems to be quite common for there to be issues with the elevator function

15. Disney Frozen 2 Pop Adventures Ahtohallan Adventures Pop-Up Playset with Handle

I’ve already included a few portable playsets, but this one is perfect for when you are really short on space. It folds up into a super compact lockable box for immediate play anytime, anywhere. When opened, the box reveals the dramatic scene from Ahtohallan. Its most exciting feature is a spinning closet that helps Elsa magically transform from one outfit into another like in Frozen II!

15 Disney Frozen 2 Pop Adventures Ahtohallan Adventures Pop Up Playset with Handle
Recommended age: 3 years and up

As well as the cool spinning closet feature, this playset features a slide, a spinning mirror and a Water Nokk doll. And of course, there are two Elsa figures to reflect her outfit before and after.

What We Love:

❤️ Features a spinning “transformation closet” to switch the two Elsa dolls with different outfits
❤️ There are lots of fun and beautiful details for such a small toy
❤️ It’s perfect for travel as it folds up into a compact box

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It’s tricky for kids to clip the dolls into the spinning closet
💔 The figures are a little flimsy

16. Fisher-Price Little People Toddler Playset Disney Frozen Carry Along Castle Case

Figures you can play with are always a hit with the little ones, so the characters are enough to make this an excellent gift for toddlers. But the castle case is a great addition as it can be used as a scene for play as well as the perfect way to store, display and transport your figures!

16 Fisher Price Little People Toddler Playset Disney Frozen Carry Along Castle Case
Recommended age: 18 months – 5 years

With Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, Sven, Grand Pabbie, Bulda, Pebble and Marshmallow, kids will have all the characters necessary to play out a limitless range of imaginative scenes. Plus, the figures are designed for small hands to grasp and to improve their motor skills.

LEGO Sets

17. LEGO Disney Frozen 2 Elsa and the Nokk Storybook Adventures 43189

What We Love:

❤️ It’s a great first LEGO set as there isn’t too much to build
❤️ The included micro-figures are adorable
❤️ It closes up into a compact book so it’s perfect for occupying kids on the go

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It’s not quite as sturdy as most LEGO sets
💔 The instructions are not very clear

💡 TIP: Add to your Frozen Storybook Adventures collection with this castle set that includes Anna and Kristof figures.

18. LEGO DUPLO Disney Princess Frozen Ice Castle 10899

For young kids who are not quite ready for LEGO, DUPLO is an excellent alternative. The larger blocks and simpler constructions are safer and more suitable for little ones, and this one is just as spectacular as any LEGO set. Featuring a slide, transparent ‘ice’ bricks, lots of furniture accessories and Anna and Elsa mini dolls with real fabric dresses, this set has lots to impress!

18 LEGO DUPLO Disney Princess Frozen Ice Castle 10899

What We Love:

❤️ It’s beautiful and fun to build for toddlers and preschoolers alike – with a little help if they are very young
❤️ It’s packed with fun features to inspire imaginative play
❤️ Kids will love the light brick and the princesses’ real fabric dresses

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It’s pretty pricey for the number of pieces
💔 It would be nice if it came with more furniture such as beds

💡 TIP: If you’re on a budget, this cute set is also toddler-friendly and features the same gorgeous Elsa figure plus Olaf!

19. LEGO Disney Frozen II Anna’s Canoe Expedition 41165

It’s time to head off on a canoe adventure with Anna and Olaf. This is a great starter LEGO set, as it’s designed to help young kids get familiar with LEGO bricks and building steps. It’s also a really fun scene to play out once built – kids can make Anna whoosh down the ice slide and along the river, play on the seesaw and meet the bunny!

19 LEGO Disney Frozen II Anna’s Canoe Expedition 41165
Recommended age: 4 years and up

This LEGO set is a lovely option for fans of the younger princess. Her ice canoe is super cool looking and the micro-figures are all adorable. For a small set, there is a lot to discover!

What We Love:

❤️ It’s a very cute little set with some fun features
❤️ It’s simple enough for little kids to put together with a little help
❤️ The magic canoe can go down the slide like it’s a waterfall

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It is on the small side
💔 The pieces may be too finicky for some 4-year-olds

20. LEGO Disney Princess: Frozen II Elsa’s Jewelry Box Creation 41168

For kids who already have a few LEGO sets under their belt, this Jewelry Box Creation set makes a fun change. Kids will love that they get a gorgeous and functional jewelry box out of it, complete with a locking drawer, a mirror and two LEGO rings to add to their jewelry collection!

20 LEGO Disney Princess Frozen II Elsa s Jewelry Box Creation 41168
Recommended age: 6 years and up

Of course, this isn’t your ordinary jewelry box. It is a beautiful Frozen scene in its own right, adorned with spinning Nokk and Elsa figures, and lots of other icy decorations! Plus you can even mix and match these figures and with ones from other LEGO sets.

What We Love:

❤️ It builds a functional jewelry box with a sliding drawer you can lock
❤️ It’s fun to build as the instructions are easy for kids to follow

21 LEGO Disney Frozen Anna and Elsa’s Magical Carousel 43218
Recommended age: 6 years and up

22. LEGO Disney Frozen II Enchanted Treehouse 41164

This Enchanted Treehouse LEGO set is enchanting alright! Join Anna, Olaf and Matthias as they explore the enchanted forest, discover ancient mythical stones and get cozy in the treehouse. In my opinion, the treehouse itself is the jewel of this set, with its patterned trunk housing a bedroom and autumn-leaf-covered branches surrounding the welcoming dining room.

It’s not easy to get big and impressive sets for preschoolers, but this one definitely fits the bill! This Arendelle Castle set looks stunning from the front, as we see the castle surrounded by scenes from the village market. But the back is where the real fun is – here we can delve inside the three-storey castle and all the rooms are packed with furniture and accessories to play with.

23 LEGO Disney Frozen II Arendelle Castle Village 41167

❤️ It’s large size and design makes it a very striking display set
❤️ It’s full of details inside that younger kids can play with

💔 The quality control on this one isn’t the best – you may find the pieces mixed up in the wrong bags
💔 It’s too difficult for young kids to build

Frozen Games and Puzzles

25. Frozen 2 Matching Game

Matching games are a great way to foster focus, memory and matching skills in young kids, who tend to enjoy their simple structure for solo or competitive gameplay. This matching game of course has a Frozen theme, so all the cards feature beautiful images of characters and items from the films. Plus, the images are nicely varied so it is easy to differentiate between them.

25 Frozen 2 Matching Game
Recommended age: 3 years and up

This set comes with 72 tiles, so you can vary the difficulty to suit your kid depending on how many you use. The tiles are made from excellent quality cardstock, so they are nice and sturdy!

What We Love:

❤️ It’s a classic game in a theme kids will love
❤️ The cards are thick and sturdy and the image quality is great
❤️ Comes with loads of wonderfully varied cards

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It’s difficult for young kids if you use all the cards, but you can set some aside
💔 There’s no way to keep the cards organized in the box

26. Disney Pop-Up Magic Frozen Game

This Pop-Up Frozen Game features simple gameplay, which is great for young children as it familiarizes them with basic board game mechanics. Plus, you can extend it by attaching it to other Disney sets if you want more! However, as it’s a short game, it’s easy to fit in if you don’t have much time but your little one wants to play.

26 Disney Pop Up Magic Frozen Game
Recommended age: 3-8 years

The main draw of this game is the stunning pop-up Ice Palace at the center of the board. The spinner is also a nice addition – you’re looking to land on 4 so you can reach the finish stone first!

What We Love:

❤️ It’s a great game for teaching kids the basics of board gaming
❤️ The pop up castle and detailed character tokens are fantastic
❤️ You can attach other Disney games to this one to make a bigger board

What We Don’t Love:

💔 It’s quite a short game if you don’t attach it to other ones
💔 Some kids will find it boring as there isn’t much to it besides moving around the board

27. Ravensburger Disney Frozen Winter Adventures 3-Puzzle Box

Kids love puzzles, but what’s annoying about the smaller ones aimed at younger kids is that they seem quite paltry in size. So what I love about this option is that you get three puzzles in the box, which means each of them is a manageable size for little ones but you haven’t exhausted the box after completing one!

27 Ravensburger Disney Frozen Winter Adventures 3 Puzzle Box
Recommended age: 5 years and up

Each puzzle features a very cute image with lovely vibrant colors. With durable, hardy pieces that are all unique and a glare-free image, this is a top quality puzzle. It’s a fantastic brain-building activity that can withstand kids’ rough handling!

What We Love:

❤️ You get three puzzles in one which are perfect for bite-sized fun
❤️ Each piece is unique and they’re thick enough to withstand a little rough handling
❤️ The images are adorable and very vividly colored

What We Don’t Love:

💔 The pieces for all the puzzles come mixed together so you have to sort them out
💔 The box is not very good quality

💡 TIP: If you’re shopping for an older Frozen fan, this gorgeous 1000-piece puzzle makes a fun challenge.

28. Monopoly Game Disney Frozen 2 Edition

Have you ever wanted to enter the world of Frozen and even own some of it? With this Frozen II-themed edition of Monopoly, you can! In this tweaked version of the classic game, you can buy scenes from Frozen II, draw Family Chest and Royal Decree cards and get double rent when you have the snowflake token. It’s a great gift for slightly older Frozen fans who also love board games.

Recommended age: 8 years and up

The game board and tokens of this edition of Monopoly are wonderfully evocative of Frozen’s enchanting, icy world. Kids will have great fun playing as their favorite character and remembering the movie.

What We Love:

❤️ Classic Monopoly gameplay so it’s a great way to teach kids about monetary value and strategic thinking
❤️ There are lots of great Frozen twists like elements instead of railroads
❤️ The Frozen-themed tokens and graphics are beautiful

What We Don’t Love:

💔 The board is quite small and a little flimsy

29. Ravensburger Disney Frozen 2 Junior Labyrinth

Labyrinth is all about finding the quickest way through the maze to get to your friends. What’s fun about it is that the board is made of movable tiles, so it’s different every time, and part of the gameplay is strategically shifting these around! The Junior version is easy enough for young kids, but you’ll be amazed at how quickly their spatial reasoning and strategy skills improve.

29 Ravensburger Disney Frozen 2 Junior Labyrinth
Recommended age: 4 years and up

This Frozen edition of Labyrinth is set in the Enchanted Forest and features tokens of your favorite characters. I also love that you can customize the difficulty level to suit your kiddo’s abilities!

What We Love:

❤️ Gameplay is like Junior Labyrinth and fits very well with the Frozen II theme
❤️ You can customize the difficulty level
❤️ Develops kids’ spatial reasoning and strategy skills in a fun way

What We Don’t Love:

💔 The board doesn’t lay flat so moving the tiles is a bit awkward
💔 Older kids may find it boring due to its simplicity

Frequently Asked Questions About Frozen

🙋‍♂️ What is Frozen?

Frozen is a 3D CGI-animated Disney movie from 2013, with a sequel following in 2019. It’s a modern classic Disney princess movie, full of humor, dramatic moments, and loads of memorable musical numbers. The story loosely follows Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale The Snow Queen

The main character is Princess Elsa of Arendelle (a fictional kingdom in Norway), who has powers to create ice and snow. A key theme is the bond between Elsa and her sister Anna, whose parents separate them to protect Anna from Elsa’s powers. Other themes include the importance of courage and of accepting oneself. The movie also has a clear message of empowering young girls, and it wouldn’t be a Disney princess movie without a little romance!

🙋‍♂️ Which age group likes Frozen?

Frozen is recommended for kids age 5 and up, with parental guidance for kids between 5 and 8 as there are a few scenes that may be scary for sensitive viewers. However, on the whole, the key age group that tends to love Frozen are kids between 5 and 9.

At the same time, Frozen is clearly meant to appeal to all ages. Even adults can appreciate its deeper themes and comedic elements, and it’s not uncommon to cry and laugh as you watch the characters pour their hearts out on screen!

Frozen is also not necessarily out of bounds for kids under 5 either if they are not easily scared. However, it might be best to stick with home viewing as it is quite a long movie to sit through in the theater.

🙋‍♂️ Do boys like Frozen?

Yes, lots of boys do like Frozen! While of course there are boys out there that love princess movies, the number of boys that enjoy Frozen is unusual for the genre. The makers of Frozen have clearly made a concerted effort to appeal to all kids, by including a lot of humor and exciting action sequences to balance out all the sparkly dresses and emotive songs in the movie.

In addition, there is actually a higher ratio of male to female characters in Frozen, so boys have many characters to identify with on screen. Last but not least, Frozen’s marketing strategy intentionally made boys feel included, with many trailers emphasizing the movie’s humor and action instead of its “princess” aspect.

So… What Frozen Toy Should You Get?

I wish I could give you a simple answer, but you’ll have to decide for yourself by thinking about the age, passions and interests of your little snow princess or prince. For example, if they love Barbies, one of the fashion doll sets is a great choice, while if they’re more into building toys, a LEGO or DUPLO set is probably right up their alley.

I tried to be as thorough as possible when selecting items for this list in order to provide a wide variety of options. So if you ended up choosing a toy from elsewhere, pop me a message below so I know what else to include next time!
