Has anyone got a better imagination than a 7-year-old child?

I don’t think so.

Give them a ride-on police car and they’re instantly cruising the streets looking for bad guys. Give them a battery-powered excavator and they’re right there on a building site (digging up your backyard). Ride-on toys give them the freedom to let their imaginations run wild while they literally RUN. WILD.

There are so many amazing ride-on toys for kids at this age, from skateboards to scooters to tractors to wiggle cars (yeah, they’re a thing) to kneeboards to go-karts to hoverboards to heelies to flying turtles. Some classics, some very modern but all amazing fun for 7-year-olds, and we’ve picked out the 21 best ride-on toys here.

With so many to choose from out there, we’ve been careful to do our research by ruling out any fake online reviews and only recommending ride-on toys that have been tried, tested, and approved by real families. No disappointments and only the appropriate amount of grazed knees (they are 7-year-olds after all).
